Illuminating Cebu: Exploring the Enchanting 10,000 Roses Café & More – A Radiant Travelogue

I’m down to the last day of my Cebu trip. We decided to go for 10,000 Roses Café & More as our final stop not only that it was the farthest from our accommodation; but also because the locals said it was best seen at night because the roses are illuminated by led lights. Oh how eager I was to get to see it in person and be able to take photographs!

10,000 Roses Café & More is located in Cordova, Cebu. Yes, there are 10,000 roses in front of the café but just to let you know, they’re all artificial. The height of every rose is almost half of the human height so it’s like you’re just walking at a normal rose garden. The owner was inspired by Garden of Light at Dongdaemun Design Plaza in South Korea and with a purpose of creating a romantic vibe.

The location is not just a café. There’s a sea where you can also witness a pretty sunset if you go there earlier. Also, there’s an entrance fee of Php 20.00 or 40 cents in USD. It’s an environmental fee to preserve this destination well enough to cater the volume of tourists visiting the area. Mind you, there are a lot of people going there so it’s better to go on weekdays. It’s all about perfect timing.

This is the first thing you’ll see when you get there. A lot of people as well even though it’s already quite late when we got there. The traffic was a bit overwhelming so make sure you get there as early as you can so you can have more time for a quick stop here. This destination is also perfect for couples who are looking for a more romantic type of scenery.

Here’s how it looks like when captured with the camera facing eye level. As you noticed, the artificial rose stems planted in the soil are very visible. The area is just small but it still looks pretty nice to see in person.

The photos look nice at night, but I guess it would also look great at sunset because you can clearly see the white roses. We planned to go there earlier but unfortunately, the distance and the traffic didn’t let us.

What a nice short trip! I’m glad to have experienced seeing this in person but I really wished there were more roses though as it was not that much of a “wow” for me. But at least I got to enjoy it even just for a short time. It rained when we went there so we ran immediately inside the café to eat dinner after we took some photos. The café doesn’t only sell food and drinks but some souvenirs too. Also, we went there via private car booked for our whole 3-day trip so I couldn’t share public transportation fees with you guys. Anyways, no worries as I’ll be sharing an itinerary soon. Hope you’ll find time to include this on your trip to Cebu!
